6115 'Checkerboard Cutter Section' £19.00

A large antique quilt section which could be re-hemmed and made into a small decorative quilt or re-used in other craft items.
Age - Circa late 1800's, early 1900's.
Where from - Indiana.
Hand Sewn - Yes, the patchwork squares have been hand sewn together.
Machine Sewn - Yes, the blocks have been machine set.
Machine Quilted - Yes, many of the lines of machine sewing have come undone.
Materials Used - A double pink in the large blocks, and typical cottons from this era in the small patches.
Batting - Very thin thickness, cotton batting which is now unevenly spread.
Backing Material - Off white cotton.
Measurements - Approximately 44 inches by 35 inches.
Fraying - A small amount of fraying.
Holes - Where there is fraying in once patch and one small fray on the pink fabric.
Holes all the way through - No.
Stains - There are some marks on the backing.
Washed - Yes.
