A lightweight 'tied' crazy quilt with pretty colours and some cute
novelty fabrics - plus a pink floral backing! Very neatly constructed.Age - Circa 1960's. Where from - Machine Sewn - Yes, the patches have been machine sewn together in a zig zag pattern. Hand Quilted - Hand tied with blue cotton embroidery threads. Machine Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - A hotchpot of cottons and some man made
fabrics. There are some lovely novelty fabrics, a print with a pack of
cards, animals playing musical instruments, children playing with
puppy, a surfer and an apple print. Batting - It feels like a cotton sheet has been used for batting, a thin quilt which would be good for summer. Backing Material - A pink floral cotton. Measurements - Approximately 77 inches by 69 inches.Quilt is shown in photos on a 5ft wide King sized bed. Fraying - No. Holes - No. Stains - There is a faint smudge mark on one light pink patch
and one other small mark, shown in photos. There is some fading of
fabrics down one side of the long edges, and uneven fading of the
backing fabric. Slight age browning of top and bottom hem ends. Washed - Yes.
