This is a long and narrow, very tatty, Sunbonnet Sue quilt which can
be used as it is if you are into the very worn country style or perhaps
someone who enjoys sewing could have fun renovating the quilt. Still
looks charming folded and used as a display quilt.Age - Circa 1920's - 1930's. Where from - Florida. Hand Sewn - The Sues have been hand appliqued and embroidered, lots of the embroidery has frayed away. Machine Sewn - Yes. Hand Quilted - Yes. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Plain blue and white cottons with various print cottons in the Sues. Batting - Thin thickness cotton batting, which has thinned and
separated between the layers, a little bunched up. You can see this in
the photos of the backing. Backing Material - Off white cotton. Measurements - Approximately 86 inches by 37 inches. Fraying - There are 15 Sue figures, 5 have no fraying, the rest
have fraying ranging from slight to severe. All have missing embroidery
stitching. Holes - Some small holes in the plain blue and white cotton. Holes all the way through - One tiny hole which goes all the way through. Stains - Yes, the backing has one large dark mark, please see photos, and a few lighter marks on the front. Washed - Yes. Notes - Postage on this quilt will be £4.50.
