A bright yellow and white quilt with very neatly hand embroidered cats
doing household tasks . Very good condition, this could be used as
a cot quilt or as a decorative quilt in any room of the house. Age - Circa 1950's. Where from - Illinois. Hand Sewn - The cat figures are hand appliqued. Machine Sewn - Yes. Hand Quilted - Yes, lovely neat quilting in diagonal lines across the cat blocks, and rope quilting in the yellow sashings. Machine Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Plain bright yellow and white cottons on the front, and coloured cotton embroidery threads. Batting - Medium thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - A bright plain blue cotton with some fold line fading. Measurements - Approximately 46.5 inches by 35 inches. Fraying - No. Holes - No. Stains - No, although the backing fabric has fading where it has been folded and stored. Washed - Yes. Notes - Postage on this quilt will be £4.50.
