Redwork quilts of any sort are collector's items in the USA. This
one is a small size, so suitable as a decorative quilt, cot quilt or
lap quilt and is in good condition. Looks lovely hung over the end
frame of an antique bed.Age - Difficult to date, but at a guess 1920's. Where from - Illinois. Hand Sewn - Yes. Hand Quilted - Yes. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - White cotton with red embroidery thread. Batting - Thin to medium thickness cotton batting. Backing Material - White cotton. Measurements - Approximately 55 inches by 42 inches. Fraying - No. Holes - No. Stains - The backing has some very light marks which you can just see in the last three photos which show the backing. Washed - Yes.
