This is a very thick quilt, ideal if you want some extra warmth on
the bed or a cosy throw to keep folded over the end of the sofa for the
chilly evenings.Age - Circa 1930's. Where from - California. Hand and machine sewn. Hand Quilted - Yes, in a simple pattern, due to the thickness of the cotton batting. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - A plain Nile Green cotton, and an orange cotton
in the centre of each plate, with multi coloured cotton prints in the
petals patches. Batting - Thick thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - A cream cotton. Measurements - Approximately 80 inches by 67 inches. Fraying - One of the central orange circular patches has a little fraying, please see photos. Holes - The above mentioned fray, and on the backing is a small
area with a few small holes, it looks like the quilt got caught on
something and got snagged. Holes all the way through - No. Stains - Yes, the front has several small pale stains, one small
darker stain, and on the backing is a small dark stain shown in photo
next to tape measure. There are also some areas of fading of the Nile
green fabric. Washed - Yes.
