Friendship quilts are always delightful, usually having been made
especially for someone to mark a special occasion such as a wedding,
special birthday or leaving present. This one has added value as the
date Oct 18, 1937 has also been embroidered onto it. Lovely cheerful

cotton with the patchwork in vibrants shades of plain cottons and
prints, including pretty florals and stripes. The sashing material is a
small scale floral print, and there are green square patches in each
corner. Batting - Thin to medium thickness cotton batting. Backing Material - The same cream cotton as the front. Measurements - Approximately 81 inches by 68 inches. Fraying - No. Holes - No. Stains - The front has several small marks and a larger area of
pale stains near the peach coloured patches - you can see these in the
5th photo from the end. The backing has several small marks. Washed - Yes. Notes - Some of the names on the quilt include - Pearl Lewis,
