A lightweight quilt in a classic colour combination with a striking design, constructed with beautiful, neat hand quilting.Age - Circa early 1900's Where from - Washington Hand and machine sewn. Hand Quilted - Yes, in a lovely circular petal pattern, please see photos. Machine Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Mainly Indigo blues, Turkey and Burgundy reds, white cotton. Batting - Very thin thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - White cotton. Measurements - Approximately 76 inches by 73 inches. Fraying - There are some small areas of fraying in the
patchwork, please see photos. One of the Turkey red blocks has some
fraying in the brown dots on the pattern. Some fraying of the hem
edges, but this has not 'eaten into' the body of the quilt. Loose Seams - A couple. Holes - Yes, there are a few holes where the white background fabric has worn thin. Holes all the way through - One hole the size of a baked bean
and one less than the size of a pea which go right through. This could
be strengthend by sewing a small patch on the back. Stains - A few light marks, front and back, please see photos. Washed - Yes. Notes - Postage on this lighter quilt will be £6.00.
