A baskets vintage quilt from Tennessee, in strong colours. This
would be ideally suited as a stage prop - although the fabrics in the quilt are
generally in a strong condition, and the quilt is 'clean' the quilt has lots of stains.Age - Circa 1930's - 1940's. Where from - Tennessee. Hand Sewn - Yes. Machine Sewn - Hand Quilted - Yes. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Strong coloured cottons, likely to be feedsacks cottons. Batting - Medium thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - A coloured print, please see photos. Measurements - Approximately 80 inches by 69 inches. Fraying - A couple of patches have some fraying. Loose Seams - There are a couple of loose seams. Holes - A couple of small holes where there is fraying, but not all the way through. Stains - Yes, lots of large brown stains on the front of the quilt. This quilt was badly stored! Washed - Yes, the quilt is clean it has had a good soak in Biotex, but the stains there to stay.
