A beautiful, lightly worn, large size, vintage wedding ring quilt. Lovely
pastel colours offset by the white cotton, a very fresh looking quilt.Age - Circa 1920's - 1930's. Where from - Ohio. Machine Sewn - Yes. Hand Quilted - Yes. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - White cotton and multiple coloured, patterned cottons, lots of pastels with a few reds. Batting - Thin to medium thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - White cotton. Measurements - Approximately 88 inches by 77 inches into the scalloped edging. Fraying - The white narrow hem binding has frayed all the way
around the edge of the quilt, but this has not 'eaten' into the main
body of the quilt. The quilt could be re-hemmed if desired, or used as
it is. Over the rest of the quilt are frayed patches where some of the
finer fabrics have frayed. Holes - Only where there are some frayed patches. Holes all the way through - No. Stains - On the back are about a dozen tiny black marks, look
like ink marks, and there are a couple of these on the front, but they
are hard to see where they are so small. A few light stains elsewhere. Washed - Yes.
