A very pretty, single size feedsacks quilt with some gorgeous
cottons including florals, dots, now softly worn and faded creating a
very cosy, soft to the touch quilt. You can still see the manufacturers
logo on the brightly coloured cotton backing. Feedsack quilts are
collector's items in the USA - if you're wondering what a 'feedsack
cotton' is, have a look at my explanation in 'Quilt Notes'.Age - Circa 1930's Where from - Oklahoma. Hand Sewn - Yes, all hand sewn. Hand Quilted - Yes. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Cotton feedsacks, in lovely softly faded florals, dots, checks etc. Now very soft. Batting - A feedsack colourful cotton print, you can still see the manufacturers logo on the back in green print CITY MILLS CO. GA Backing Material - Soft feedsack cottons with the manufactuers logo still visible on one edge. Measurements - Approximately 88 inches by 65 inches, so suitable for a single bed or as a 'topper' on a double. Fraying - The hems are worn, the top and bottom ends are
particularly frayed, I have shown these in the last photo if you look
carefully you can see the frayed hems. There are about three frayed
patches on the quilt. Someone in the quilts past, has done a small,
very neat darn. Holes - Just where there are a few frayed patches. Holes all the way through - No. Stains - No, but some fading. Washed - Yes. Notes - Postage on this quilt will be £6.50
