A beautiful antique quilt in a soft colour combination. Lovely hand quilting!Age - Circa late 1800's. Where from - Indiana. Hand Sewn - Yes, wonderful neat tiny hand stitches. Machine Sewn - A small amount of machine sewing. Hand Quilted - Yes, in diagonal lines 1 inch apart across the quilt. Hand Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - Subtle cottons in indigo blues, browns, purple and some dark red and blacks. Batting - Thin thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - Off white cotton. Measurements - Approximately 82 inches by 69 inches. Fraying - Several of the purple patches have some fraying, please see photos. Holes - Where the purple patches have frayed a little. Holes all the way through - No. Stains - The backing has a couple of stains, the front has a very slight marked area. Washed - Yes.
