A sturdy quilt in rich, strong, colours, ideal for someone who wants
a bold looking quilt to brighten their room. This quilt maker had her
own unique style and used all her scraps to make a practical vibrant,
quilt.Age - Circa 1950's. Where from - Oklahoma. Machine Sewn - Yes. Machine Quilted - Yes. Machine Hemmed - Yes. Materials Used - A mixture of materials, mainly cottons, some
brushed flannel squares and one orange shiny patch. Likely to be
feedsack prints in many of the patches. Batting - Medium thickness, cotton batting. Backing Material - Cream cotton. Measurements - Approximately 86 inches by 69 inches. Fraying - No, but someone has machine darned a couple of patches
in the quilt's past, please see photos - the largest darn is on the
orange patch. Holes - No. Stains - There are some marks on the front and back of the
quilt. The brown mark on the backing may be an iron scorch mark, and on
the front are some stains which are not immediately noticeable due to
the patterns and strong colours of the fabrics. You can see in photo number four there are brown stains on red cotton patches. Washed - Yes.
